But it is important to remember that a professional quality DSLR camera is only one part of what it takes to take beautiful photographs. It’s a great DSLR camera that has worked well for me without any real problems for approximately two years now. It’s also rather inexpensive by the pricing standards of professional quality cameras. Of course you should consider that those standards are rather high, it’s about $725 without a lens!
As you educate yourself more on the subject of high quality cameras you will come to understand that the lens is extremely important. If your experience comes mostly from point and clicks then you are most likely used to thinking that the amount of megapixels is the most important thing about a camera but that’s not the case at all.
With high quality cameras, the lens is what makes the biggest difference in the quality of the photos. Really the subject of lenses is too complicated for me to cover in this article, I simply want to make sure you are aware of the importance of lenses and that if you want to get really serious about taking great photos you will need to look into the topic deeply.
Just like with any other skill, you will only become a expert photographer with lots of practice. You will need to read all about the art of photography and then you will need to take tons of pictures testing out all of what you’ve learned.
